On Tuesday, the presentation of the "The Adriatic Journal: Strategic Foresight 2020" issue took place in Ljubljana, and it is traditionally given by the Institute for Strategic Solutions. The event was attended by the prominent representatives of the state, institutions, the economy and civil society such as Mr. Miro Cerar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Karin Kneissl, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Mr. Blaž Brodnjak, NLB Bank Chairman of the Board, Mr. Gregor Pilgram, Generali CEE Holding Board member. As part of the VZMD's efforts and its international business-investor programs Invest to Slovenia - investo.si and International Investors' Network – invest-to.net, the event was attended by the President of the Association, Mr. Verbič, who took the opportunity to talk to many prominent guests. Among other things, a discussion was held about further collaboration in terms of activities by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, Public Agency SPIRIT Slovenia - primarily in light of preparations for the Slovenia's presidency of the EU Council.
On this occasion, the PanSlovenian Investors' & Shareholders' Association (VZMD), through its programs, investo.si and invest-to.net, has been planning on organizing international investor conferences at the highest level – including prominent representative of capital and financial markets, European Commission and other European institutions. Much like the organization of meetings of the European and the World Federation of Investors in 2008 in Ljubljana (VIDEO) and "Investors` Week" and the conference »investo EXPO« in 2012 in Ljubljana (VIDEO), the VZMD has also planned to organize this conference in collaboration with the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (Better Finance), where Mr.Verbič is a member of the Executive Board for the fourth term. The latter has been actively working with multiple international and national institutions and organizations, such as conferences by the international association Eurofi, which take place in each presiding EU member state.
Regarding the preparations for the international conferences, efforts of the VZMD programs and other current issues, the VZMD President will participate in discussions and hold meetings also on the margins of the international GAIDAR FORUM, which is to start in Moscow next week. The renown forum - which is traditionally organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and, within Russian Federation is considered as "Russian Davos Forum" – will be attended by Mr. Verbič again this year at the invitation of the Director of the Moscow Institute of Business Studies, Mr. Sergey Myasoedov. Like year before, he will also attend certain meetings and gatherings, which normally touch on current issues regarding investments, business collaboration, energetics, banking, as well as companies Mercator, i.e. Agrokor and Fortenova Group. This time too, the activities and opportunities brought by investo.si and invest-to.net will be presented.
