A strong economic delegation visited the Ukrainian capital Kiev and participated at the Slovene-Ukrainian Business Conference at the Kiev Chamber of Commerce, this Monday and Tuesday. Among the 20 delegation members, representatives of the Slovenian companies and institutions, was also VZMD President Kristjan Verbič, M.Sc., who was attending this important conference in the framework of endeavours of international business-investment programmes VZMD Invest to Slovenia (investo.si) and International Investors` Network (invest-to.net). A considerable interest has been shown in the Slovene companies and investment projects included in the investo.si programme, and additionally, the Ukrainian Investor Relations Agency has expressed an interest in the inclusion in the highly respected international organizations - European Federation of Financial Services Users (EuroFinUse) and World Federation of Investors (WFI) - represented during this visit by VZMD President, who is an active member of these organizations.
In the framework of the conference the assembled participants were addressed by: Mr. Mykola Zasulskyi, the President of Kiev Chamber of Commerce, Miss. Nataša Prah, the Head of Mission at the Slovenian Embassy, and Samo Hribar Milič, MA, the President of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. Suitable provisions have also been made this time for B2B meetings, ensuring successful presentations of companies, institutions and investment projects included in the VZMD international business-investment programmes. The members of the delegation have also met management team and experts of the European Business Association (EBA), and a meeting with the representatives of Slovenian companies based in Ukraine and the members of the Slovene-Ukrainian Association of Entrepreneurs was held yesterday.
VZMD with its international business-investment programmes provides networking, presence and an opportunity for companies and investment projects from Slovenia, the region and also wider, to present themselves. Only this year, some presentations have been carried out successfully in Astana, Almaty, Baku, Brussels, Bucharest, Vienna, Ljubljana, Moscow, New Delhi, Tokyo and Zagreb. Next month there will be at least a few more presentations carried out in Madrid, Moscow, Vienna and Cape Town.
