The official program of the Slovenian economic delegation accompanying the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Nataša Pirc Musar, on the occasion of her official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria, is taking place today in Sofia. The guests at the Bulgaria-Slovenia business forum were, alongside the President of the Republic of Slovenia, addressed by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, as well as the directors of government agencies of both countries for promoting investments, SPIRIT Slovenija and BSMEPA, Mr. Rok Capl and Mr. Boyko Takov respectively. This will be followed by the presentations of both business environments and B2B talks.
Also joining the delegation is the VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, who arrived in Sofia as early as Saturday and has since then, as part of the international business-investor programs: Invest to Slovenia - investo.si and International Investors` Network - investo.international, concluded several meetings and talks. Yesterday, among others, he met with the CEO of Vitosha Venture Partners, Mr. Stoyan Nedin, while already on Saturday, as part of the annual conference of the Bulgarian Psychological Society, he had met with their chairman, Mr. Stoyo Stoyanov Nedin, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Sofia, Ms. Sonya Karabeliova, and many others.
Mr. Verbič arrived to Sofia from Brussels immediately after the conclusion of the two-day meeting of the Expert Advisory Group at the EUROPEAN COMMISSION (FSUG), which he is a member of. Prior to this, at the invitation of the organizers, he had visited Ghent to attend the traditional financial forum of the EUROFI (as previously in Bucharest, Sofia, Ljubljana, Prague, and Santiago de Compostela) – one of the most important Think Tanks – which always takes place in the country holding the Presidency of the EU Council, alongside the meetings of the European ministers of economy and finance ECOFIN.
As always, this tour also included the presentation of the investment opportunities, activities, and possibilities of the investo.si and investo.international programs. Following the substantial and successful international activities in 2023 (VIDEO: https://youtu.be/Q50Xh8c27vk) and in January of 2024 (with the visits to Miami, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and San Marcos), the VZMD has once again prepared an extensive program with the possibilities of collaboration in the context of their international programs and would like to INVITE all existing and new partners, as well as interested business entities, institutions, and business people, to also participate in numerous opportunities this year.
