During the Olympic Games in Paris, lively business events take place in the Slovenia House, located in the eminent La Villette park, where 14 other national venues or "houses" are also located. Last night, a Slovenian business delegation arrived to Paris - in organization of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia (GZS) and the SPIRIT Slovenia - whose member is also the President of VZMD, Mr. Kristjan Verbič. Members of the delegation attended a reception in the Slovenia House last night, and today a business forum entitled "Slovenian business champions at the Olympic Games" is being held there.
On the sidelines of the delegation's program, Mr. Verbič met separately with the founder and long-time President of the European Federation of Investors (BETTER FINANCE) and the President of the largest French federation of investor and life insurance policyholder associations (FAIDER), Guillaume Prache, and also presented him the Slovenia House. After the warm reception of the Programme Manager of the Slovenia House, Urška Žolnir Jugovar, Member of the Committee on Sport and Economic Diplomacy at Slovenian Olympic Committee, Marta Kos, and the Executive Director for Strategic Development and Internationalization at the GZS, Marjane Majerič, Mr. Prache addressed the members of the Slovenian delegation. Before that, he and the VZMD President also visited the presentation "house" of France. In addition to the business conference, members of the delegation will visit the neighboring Serbian House today, followed by a visit to the athletics event at the Stade de France in the evening.
This time too, care has been taken to present investment opportunities, activities and possibilities within the framework of international business-investor programs: Invest to Slovenia - investo.si & International Investors' Network - investo.international. With its business-investor programs, VZMD often participates in major international sports events, which proved to be an excellent opportunity for establishing contacts, presenting projects and exchanging experiences.
