During the presentation (www.vzmd.si/images/documents/Predstavitev-VZMD-in-investosi.pdf), the VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič, highlighted the more than twelve-year successful activities of the VZMD in dealing with protection of rights of investors and minor shareholders as well as international liaising and operations of the Association, which, among other things, led to the foundation of investo.si and invest-to.net programs. Due to these programs the VZMD was able to organize multiple similar international events – in 2012 in the CD Hall (VIDEO www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaA_JeWmlv4), in 2008 in the assembly hall of TR3 (VIDEO: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT3EFOEZerc), while abroad it organized events at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Poland (VIDEO: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZphM1YDjsGI), and at the Euroclub in Copenhagen, Denmark (VIDEO: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFQeDdN2Ndc), to name a few.

Among other things, Mr. Verbič  presented the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (Better Finance), with which the VZMD has been successfully cooperating and through it has been actively striving to make changes and improve the legislation and the corporate governance at European level, especially in cases , when calls for change are ignored at the national level. Other than the presentation, Mr. Verbič also participated at the "Why Slovenia today brings the highest returns" round table together with Ms. Nevenka Kržan, Senior Partner at KPMG in Slovenia, Ms. Sladjena Križaj, Managing Director of Raiffeisen Leasing, Ms. Alenka Gorenčič, Director of Tax and Legal Consulting at Deloitte, and Mr. Peter Hasslacher, Head of Advantage Austria.

This interesting investment conference, where the participants had a chance to listen to almost 40 experts, was organized by the company ABC Real Estate together with partners such as, in addition to VZMD, the public agency SPIRIT Slovenia, Slovenian Business and Research Association, Advantage Austria, Eco Fund, the municipality of Maribor, Slovenia, Circular Change and many others.
