Mr. Verbič visited Cannes as part of the 48th tour of the business-investor programs of VZMD Invest to Slovenia (investo.si) and International Investors' Network (invest-to.net). Before that, he was part of the Slovene business delegation, which, led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, visited the Georgian capital Tbilisi.  In addition to the organizers, the delegation included the representatives from six companies.

Mr. Verbič met with the Ms. Nina Tsetskhladze, Head of Investment Policy and Promotion Department at the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, and attended meetings of the Slovene State Secretary at Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (pictured: Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Slovenia, His Excellency Zurab Bekaia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. David Jalagania, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Mr. Aleš Cantarutti, Head of the International Relations Department at CCIS, Mr. Ante Milevoj, and the VZMD President, Mr. Kristjan Verbič).

The delegation also attended the Business Forum, where they were, among others, addressed by Ms. Nato Chikovani, Deputy President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia, Mr. Cantarutti and the CCIS representative, Mr. Milevoj. The VZMD President took this opportunity to talk to Ms. Aleksandra Papiashvili, representative of Enterprise Georgia, an entrepreneurship development agency. In the context of B2B talks following the forum, he has also met with representatives of Lama LLC and AG International Consulting as well as Samtskhe-Javakheti Economic Development Agency.

Efficient presentation of companies, institutions and investment projects included in the VZMD's international business-investor programs was provided for.
